Understanding the AC Installation Process
You're excited about your new AC and can't wait to cool off during the summer. However, installation must take place before anything else. Let's understand the AC installation process and highlight things to watch out for.
Home Protection
First, workers will protect your home from falling debris. While handling the AC, there is a good chance that parts will fall and other parts will need to be laid on the ground. Workers will put down a protective sheet so that your floor doesn't see any lasting damage. We'll also cover up the wall behind the AC in case the old unit collapses.
Old AC Removal
Then, workers will remove the old AC. This is done in a few simple steps. They will unscrew all the relevant nuts and bolts and take the frame off. The old AC is completely removed from your home, but before it is tossed out, we'll inspect it for any damage or misalignment. These could be hints as to the best way to approach the new AC. Finally, technicians will vacuum the empty space to avoid trapping dust particles that could contaminate the air.
New AC Installation
Once the scene is ready, we'll install the new AC. This consists of screwing in lots of small parts and connecting wires so that the units can "talk" to one another. Workers will also listen to your requests for zoning and locations. If there are places that you want to cool in particular, make sure to let us know beforehand. After the AC has been installed, we'll run a couple of tests to make sure that there aren't any loose parts.
